The mysteries of 75 and 90 ball bingo uncovered!
Before I started working at Robin Hood Bingo, I played on a few online bingo sites – some bingo here, a bit of slots there. I found myself completed baffled by all the games on offer; what’s the difference between 75 and 90 ball bingo? How does a progressive jackpot work? Is Swedish bingo the same as speed bingo? Today I’ll talk a little about the difference between 75 and 90 ball bingo.
75 Ball Bingo
75 ball bingo games use cards with a 5 x 5 grid of 25 numbers on it, ranging from 1 to 75. There is one winner when playing 75 ball bingo, and the player can bingo by filling an entire line (either horizontally, vertically or diagonally) or filling a special pattern. - Strike It Lucky open 8am to midnight
- Friar Luck open 8am to 6pm
- Money Tree open 11am to 11pm
- Rags To Riches open 6pm to 11pm
90 Ball Bingo
90 ball bingo features cards on a 9 x 3 grid (3 rows and nine colums), with each row containing 5 numbers. The first column contains numbers from 1-9, the second column contains numbers from 10-19, the third column contains numbers from 20-29, all the way through to the final column which contains numbers from 80-90.
A classic game of 90 ball bingo is played in 3 stages, meaning players have 3 chances to win. The ‘one line winner’ must mark 1 entire line of numbers horizontally across the card, the ‘second line winner’ must mark 2 full lines, and the player to mark the entire card takes Full House.
The prize split differs for each stage of the game, and if there is more than one winner for any line then the prize is split equally between them (this also applies for 75 ball games). The full house is of course always the largest prize!
